Tina Lamberts Cello Studio

I have been teaching private cello lessons in the St. Cloud area since 2001. I work with all levels of ability and students range in age from 6 - adult. In addition to private lessons, some of my students also take part in weekly cello ensembles. We have two recitals and a studio class each year. Whether you are someone who has always been drawn to the instrument and would like to play for the first time or someone who is already playing and wants to improve your skills, I can help!

I play and teach only cello. I believe that I am a supportive and kind teacher appropriate for young children and I have the professional experience to teach advanced students preparing for All-State and college auditions. I believe in a strong technical foundation. All of my students work on scales and multiple etudes in addition to repertoire pieces.

I have studied with David Vanderkooi of Nashville Symphony, Hans Jorgen Jensen of Chicago Symphony, Hong Wang in Minneapolis, Pablo Mahave-Veglia at SCSU and Berndt Bowman of Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. I have played with rock, jazz and theater groups in Memphis and Chicago. While music and cello have always been my passion, it was not my first vocation. I was an accountant. I came back to music in my 30's and was eventually was able to leave the business world to play and teach exclusively. I believe that this varied background strengthens my teaching and personal skills.
